DISH Network needed a way to tell DirecTV customers that they were overpaying for the same TV they could watch on DISH. Breaking Bad on DirecTV is the same Breaking Bad on DISH. SportsCenter on DirecTV is the same SportsCenter on DISH. Everything's the same.
So we did a little experiment. If people are willing to pay more to watch the same TV, are they willing to pay more for other identical things, too?
